Our Diagnostic Process
• All biopsies are extensively studied with serial sections on multiple levels, resulting in 8-12 sections
examined per biopsy and a high diagnostic yield.
• All gastric biopsies, i.e., antrum, body, pylorus, and fundus, are stained for Helicobacter pylori by the highly
sensitive and specific IHC technique.
• All special stains are available to diagnose a wide range of neoplastic and infectious GI diseases.
• All malignant and unusual cases are reviewed and documented by at least two pathologists.
• Internal control procedures allow for more than one pathologist to confirm each diagnosis, thus providing
higher diagnostically consistent reporting and superior quality assurance.
• Expert opinions are available from nationally acclaimed GI pathologists, as select cases may warrant.
